The JAI DURGA TEMPLE PERTH is a Hindu Temple dedicated to practice, preserve, and teach spiritual traditions of the Great Mother Goddess, Durga.

The Sanskrit word “Maa” stands for mother and Shakti from Sanskrit shak – “to be able”, meaning sacred force or empowerment, is the primordial cosmic energy and represents the dynamic forces that are thought to move through the entire universe in Hinduism. Shakti is the concept, or personification, of divine feminine creative power, sometimes referred to as ‘The Great Divine Mother’ in Hinduism.

Jai Maa Durga Temple Trust was formed in year 2021 to perform religious activities same as in India..

First time in Perth (Western Australia) in 2021 Maa Bhagwati Chowki was performed on 19th September 2021 which was organised by Jai Maa Durga Temple Perth.

To Promote Our Religion

Jai Maa Durga Temple Perth was started to preach about our religion Hinduism. Keeping in mind we are far from our homeland. It was opened to keep our young ones glued to our Sanskaar and Sanskriti. This temple has highly qualified and dedicated priest for performing different Poojas and various religious celebrations in the temple. Our priest has many years of religious education and appropriate professional experience and proficiency in Hindi, English and several other Indian languages.

Brief History about the Temple

JAI MAA DURGA TEMPLE was established in year 2021 through Divine blessings from MATA VAISHNO DEVI. Jai Maa Durga Temple is functioning under Jai Maa Durga Temple Trust which is a non profitable organisation.

Vision of Jai Maa Durga Temple Perth

To Impart, religious, educational and cultural values of Hindu Dharm to our community and to our future generations.

To provide a place of worship and meditation for the Hindu community • To provide facilities for Pujas, havans, marriage ceremonies or other religious sanskars.
To arrange for the celebration of Hindu religious and cultural festivals.
To provide facilities for the education of our children in various aspects of Hindu religion, Music, culture and languages.
To provide a warm welcome and spiritual support to all devotees and visitors.

She is worshipped as the Goddess of Strength. During Navratri, devotees worship the nine avatars of Jai Maa Durga.
